Zoë was born in Durban and raised in Pietermaritzburg. She attended school at the National School of the Arts. She majored in Jazz Vocals at the South African Music College, UCT. Zoe Modiga has been a part of many celebrated festivals and remains one of South African's finest exports, with a vocal range that is a marvel to watch.

Thandi Ntuli also spoke to Ndumiso Manana who's journey has seen him move from the Drakensberg boys choir to UCT’s South African Music College where he studied Jazz Vocals.
